Sometimes SPAM is poetry
I enjoy riffling through the myriad of SPAM messages that get blocked on network every once in a while. Today I ran across one of those standard stock pump and dump spam emails that are the bane of most people’s inboxes and under the stupid image of the stock “opportunity” for “stupid people”, there is a smattering of seemingly random text.
One I found today had this line buried deep in the middle of it’s random lines of message filler:
YOU NEED TO LOSE WAIT.
And I thought to myself, is that a mistake? A creative way to get “weight” past a spam filter or a far more meaningful statement about our lives? A deep introspection of our souls and how we function as human beings in this crazy modern world? Since it was the only line in all caps, it definitely caught my attention.
You need to lose wait… it says something to me. Its time to lose the waiting that we all are a victim of. Waiting for that next job, or that next promotion, or opportunity, or even that new car that we all hope will have someday. Lose the waiting and get going. Get moving and start living this short pathetic life we are given.
So accidental poetry? Inadvertent advice about how to live our lives? Pure chance of a computer algorithm?
I don’t know. But I need to lose wait.
