Thank goodness the holidays are over
Maybe next year when my daughter is older, Christmas will be a whole bunch more fun. But as an adult, I find the entire thing tedious and tiring. Family is great, but only for short amounts of time.
And by short, I mean quantum. And by quantum, I mean Planck.
It is far too tiring to smile so much and make small talk. I can barely relate to my brother, much less an entire room of people that I only see four times a year. At least I have a great nuclear family – that eases the pressure a little bit.
As long as politics or religion don’t come up.
Oh boy. Every year I vow not to say anything, but this year, my wife had to mention that I registered to vote, and then it was downhill from there. Oh well, there is next year.
2008. And still no flying cars.
