The ESX platform was discontinued by VMware. Only ESXi Hypervisor is the supported product, and there are no HP agents avail for install as the Hypervisor does not support software-level agents. However ESXi supports a number of vendors via CIM providers, HP provides an offline CIM provider install that integrates with HP System Insight Manager. I need to install the HP SIM agents so that I can control the fans. I got to the step where you need to install the installvm840.sh file (Im gonna run the 8.4.0 version), and when I write ./installvm840.sh I keep getting 36: restore_file_info.sh: not found. I wrote pwd to check that I was in the right directory, wrote ls to see if the file was there (it was), and I also tried chmod 777 on the installvm840.sh and the restore_file_info.sh. If it was enough information for you to actually perform the task without questions, you wouldn't be forced to purchase training from them. (there, I said it.) I've sat through many days of there training saying, this isn't much info. It could have been a whitepaper on their website.
