  • Ysabel by Guy Guvriel Kay seems to be a bit novice in places, good read though. #
  • Of course me saying novice is laughable, but I am just being comparative. #
  • The sun is shining, the sky is blue, my damn leg itches. #
  • Wow quiet today at work. Graveyard quiet. I walk in and the only person at work is, ha, me. Surprise! #
  • Just me keeping the carpet down today. #

  • home again home again, jiggity jig. Went to omaha and did not see any pigs. #
  • Go to Charlotte. See cops everywhere. All over town. Go to Omaha. See no cops anywhere. Guess which town felt more “safe”? #
  • Omaha vs. Charlotte.
    POP: 401,692 vs. 668,003.
    Violent Crimes: 2,627 vs. 7,194.
    Property Crimes: 24,512 vs. 44,534. #
  • Ooooh and guess what? According to that, Omaha is actually the safer place. #
  • Those numbers are from 2003. may have changed in the last 6 years. #
  • but according to my gut, the lack of cop presence it seems that the theory still holds up. #

  • Legally stoned. #

Twitter Updates for 2009-05-12

  • Npr commentator bashing the social networks today over expectation of privacy. Missed the point really. #
  • Twitter and other social networks are the foundations of news and opinion… Sure its beta, but as it fleshes out, socialnet have potential. #
  • It will be interesting to see how trend aggregation news services form around social networks. This group A is trending B on topic C. #
  • Or how social networks will fragment into social tribes, tighter woven virtual groups that have more social impact. #
  • One could almost cyberpunk all over the future of social networks, but some care should be taken. We are talking about people after all. #
  • the biggest issue with tweets is the lack of contextual information. It is always (mostly) implied. #

Twitter Updates for 2009-05-11
