Sick gorram it

I have the flu, I have the flu.
I have a temperature of a 102.
I have not started to snort
like a trough-eating pork,
so it must not be swine flu.

  • Virtualization has opened up entirely new doors for my strategies in resolving business needs. I am the ultimate ideal for vmware marketing. #
  • Turning physical hosts into pools of resources makes so much more sense in terms of services provided to users. #
  • And because of that, about 90% of all my new environment build outs have been virtual. The only thing I am leery of is DCs. Eeeek. #

Rebuilding Blackberries

As much as I hate it, rebuilding your handheld device is such a good idea every so often. I rebuild my computers annually, and my handheld is included in that. About every year, I get the urge to blow everything away and start from scratch.

Much like a pc, it let’s me universally update everything to the latest rev, while cleaning a huge amount of old deitrus off at the same time. And in humble opinion, I think the benefit is huge.

Even for this tiny little blackberry of mine. Updated the OS, the software, the databases, everything. And for the last two weeks, it has been a better user experience. Faster apps, faster usage, fewer bugs.

So even though these little ubiquitous devices tend to be overlooked as mere appliances, they really aren’t. The need some tlc time to time just like any personal computing device.

  • My old house I grew up in is abandoned now. Nricks falling. Covered in ivy. Surreal. #
  • Amazing how my memories are so shaped by these old places. Pieces of me left behind in the places I have been. #
  • I should come back soon and document these old places. So they are not lost. #
